Did I mess up

I hope I didnt. I ordered 2 Kicker CVR 10"s thursday night and I got the DVC 4 ohm. But I want to run my Kicker 600.1 at 2 ohms and was thinking its in the way you wire up the speakers, but now I cant seem to find any info on it. Should I have gotten the 2 ohm speakers?

Yeah, you should have got the dual 2 ohm ones. Only way you can wire those is 1 or 4 ohm

Well, I cant remember the specs on that amp, but if it puts out 600 watts at 2 ohm then at 4 ohm its only going to be putting like 30ish watts out(actuall more, that amp is underrated) If you can I would try to send them back for the others, but it might not make that much difference. It will probably give about 200 to each sub if you keep those.

Its cool though, everyone makes mistakes

Peace, and good luck

Yes it is underrated ..the box said it was tested at 735 watts....So you are saying that it would only put out "30ish" more watts at 2ohms? I can live with that.

I put my brothers 2 kicker comp 12's on it yesterday and had to turn the gain down,so I think it will work on 2 CVR 10's.

Thanks again

No, thats not what I meant, i made a typo. I meant 300ish watts at 4 ohm, compared the the 600ish at 2 ohm.

That 735 at 2 ohm would be about 367 watts at 4 ohm, which would be about 183 or so watts per sub, give or take a little.

If you had the other subs, you could wire it up to double the watts you will be getting with the current setup, but a lot of times adding more watts has little effect on the output of the subs.

Well the woofers came in yesterday and I hooked them up asap. I dont think they would sound a whole lot different if the amp was @ 2 ohms, they pound now. And Pantera doesnt require a ton of bass.

Thanks for the info though.

I also put bed liner spray on the back seat brackets I cut in half and added 2 & 5/8 inches to. Looks better now and I hope i dont have to take the back seat out again for a while
