Well, I did send them an email and they answered saying that this part is only available through my Ford Dealer?? I have bugged my Ford Parts Department and they are tired of looking for me, they say they cannot come up with the plugs or the wiring harness?? Has anyone figured this out yet??

Hey Woodall01,
I just got off the phone from my dealer and they tell me that one of your numbers is correct and the other comes up in their computer as a "mirror switch"???? They had me go out and take my radio out and tell them how many empty plugs were on it. I did and there are two empty plugs, both male and one is a 16 pole plug and the other one is a 8 pole plug. The sub woofer has a male 10 pole plug???? Boy this is getting harder and harder. Ford is going to keep checking to see if they can come up with something. Please let me know if anyone has found a fix for this. Thanks, Bill

I found the subwoofer wiring harness in my 2004 SuperCrew Lariat. Can anyone tell me if the power lead is already hot in this harness, or do I still have to tap the fuse block to power the subwoofer amp? Now, I just have to find a factory subwoofer box and amp...

Hi, I gave up and took my truck to Radio Shack and paid them to hook it up and was glad I did as it works great. To answer your question, they did have to tap the fuse block to power the subwoofer amp.

There is an OEM subwoofer on Ebay right now but it only has a few hours left before the end of the auction. I purchased mine off of Ebay and paid $150.00 this one is a lot cheaper but will probably bid up the last few minutes of the auction. Here is the URL on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Good luck!!
Bill

I just purchased a subwoofer and amp on eBay. Now I just need to find a pair of the tweeters that come with the Audiophile systems.

Scott, I watched the auction on Ebay, I was afraid that the guy who lost out was you because "scott" was in his log in name. Congradulations!! I tried to find some tweeters too but so far have not found any but the system seems to work ok with out them.

That was me who lost that auction, eBay: "waynescott". But, right after that auction ended, I did a new search and found a brand new sub with a "buy it now" price less than that one went for. Thank you for your help in spotting these auctions! Now I just have to wait a week for my subwoofer to get to Seattle from the east coast.

You guys know that its not a plug and play system!!? If you have a navi/head unit you cant just plug and play the amp and sub you would have to get the subwoofer option turned on. I tried to just plug in play an audiophile system on my 08 KR Screw with no avail. The sub never turned on and the my local Ford dealer did not know how to turn on the setting.

ize, I'm going through the same pain right now. I've tried two separate subwoofers and neither one works. Did you end up getting the subwoofer enabled, and if so, how did you do it? My dealer says that the NAV head unit is plug and play with the subwoofer -- obviously not, because the subwoofer isn't working. It drives me crazy when dealerships don't even know their own product. This shouldn't be this hard. For Pete's sake, it's a $40K+ truck with a $2k+ stereo and it doesn't work with a Sub?

Put a test light on it. I found mine in my plain Jane XL (!) Its always hot. I used it to power my back-up lights.

No I still havent figured out how to enable it. On your head unit press 3 and 6 at the same time and its going to give you options (while in FM mode). Theres where it reads Subwoofer Not Enabled. The electronics "expert" at my local dealer didn't even know how to do that. Its getting frustrating!!

you do realize this is a four year old thread right?
Im sure these guys got it figured out or at least i would hope so by now. The nav is the one that has to be programed for the vehicle and sub and other options...
These guys were getting factory audiophile stereos off ebay etc that were ready to be plugged in
