Question Infinity Basslink

Hey guys, after reading about this Infinity Basslink, I went to ebay, and they are still selling them. Like 235 after shipping. List is 499 it says. My question is that it says it is 8 inches thick. I measured only 6 and a half under my rear seat. How did grg mac get it under his seat without the riser things? I want to get this sub and try it out, but not if I have to tie it on the roof? Do you guys have more clearance or something??

Travis, I haven't lifted my rear seat yet. I just lower the seat and let it rest on top of the sub for now. I don't use that portion of the seat anyways, so it bothers me not. It's advertised as 8", but when you put the mounting brackets on it, it raises it another 1 1/2". You can opt to not use the mounts and let it rest on the floor, but you'd be doing two things wrong: 1. Crushing a grille, and 2. Blocking the sound from escaping the "reflex baffle" for lack of better terminology. On one side of the sub is the woofer itself. Opposing it is a woofer-looking piece that relfects the bass. I have no idea what this is called, but it looks like a drum head and it is supposed to "breathe" just like the woofer.
