Cool How to put together an audio system for my truck.

Hello everyone I just found this site I think it is awsome, lots of great info. What I was wondering was how to wire a system for my 97 F-150 ext. cab. I am not sure how to wire in crossovers and do you need a seperate amp for your subs than your other speakers. Basicly I would like to now how to install or find the info on how to install a system and what components I need. I am not making a comp. system just something for myself to enjoy. Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the forum, jland! Sounds like you're gearing up to do a nice upgrade. Starting from scratch, you'll probably get a lot of advice from a lot of people, and some of it is bound to sound contradictory. Part of the game. There are many ways to wire a truck for sound, but it's gonna depend of a lot of things. You WILL need to amp that woof. But before you get in deep, may I recommend a couple of cool sites that'll answer a lot of questions?
Check these out. They'll probably give you enough info that you can start to ask more specific questions.

Check out the last site first, come to think of it. There's a lot of info that you can chew on to get you started.
