www.awpd.net said they now have boxes just like the ext. cab versions of their f150 boxes but for SCrews... pretty affordable with or w/o excursion subs in them.

I think I'm getting one of these. And I want to add some boston acoustic components up front, and probably leave the rear stock speakers.

can i drive the two 10's and the components with an amp and keep my stock headunit, or would I be better off getting an aftermarket head unit?

i would also be interested to hear what that box sounds like. i had a local shop make me a box for a 10" JL 10W3 but i am not that satisfied w/ the bass. i am running it w/ the stock head unit and aftermarket mids/highs as well as a 5 channel amp. let me know if you want to hear how mine sounds--maybe we can compare. i live in san jose and work in mt view off 101 and shoreline...

 

hyacinth - i'd love to hear the sub. you don't happen to work on Wright do you? i live a block from there and would see a white screw outside a shop there every day on my way to work. helped me decide to get mine, heh.

after talking to awpd.net guys and dbl checking with my rear seat, i'm still not sure they know exactly what the screw is. unless the guy I talked to just didn't know his stuff in general. the more I look at it, 2 10's would be a really tight fit...

yep looks to me like the only screw box is the single 10" one... I still may go with that one. $175 with the speaker (Which I've heard from others is a good one - hollywood excursion)

Any word on that box from awpd?

I took a look at the pics, not sure if that dual 10" box will fit......

They do a have ported box for a single 10" that says it's for a 2001 SuperCrew/X-Cab.

I'm down in San Diego myself and looking for a way to use a pair of JL-10W6s I pulled from my firebird.
