Question Sub question

I have a 10" MTX Blue Thunder sub (from a previous vehicle) that I would like to install in my truck. Anyone have any experience to relate with installing one in an extended cab Superduty? Also, anyone have a good source for plans for an enclosure that will fit under the rear seat (without raising it if possible) and will produce a good sound? I guess if it turns out to be too much trouble, I may be able to make you a good deal on a sub!

I use the custom enclosure from MTX available at Circuit city. It cost around $180 and holds 2 8" subs. It looks real nice and is almost invisible.

I also have the MTX dual 8 inch box in my F-150. I can tell you this though...my wife has 1 10 inch JL Audio in her Expy and it kills my stereo no question about it.

I agree that a 10 or 12 could easily outclass 2 8's, but it might be difficult to find a box that will hold them and fit under the back seat. If the 8's are set up right, they can sound pretty good. My setup is with an Alpine CDA7845 head unit and a MTX 2200 amp with 2 8" punch speakers. I am wanting to add aftermarket speakers to the doors but I am hesitating because I can't find anywhere to mount another amp.
