Don't buy it. They sound very muddy and are terrible. They only hold 150 watts!? I would buy a kicker L7.

Thanks for the input...I went and bought the 8" bazooka and installed it behind the drivers seat on the floor. I couldn't be happier it just fills in where the other speakers leave off,not to overwhelming.I would suggest this to anyone one looking for a little thump in their ride!!Happy New Year To All

doh, was just about to suggest the Kicker's, that's what i run - and the wood construction and high end materials makes for a very solid sound.

But if it sounds good to you, it sounds good to me.

I have one in my 00 supercab and it is great. It is not muddy or terrible. I put it behind the driver seat and fits under the bench. It works great with the stock cd sterio system. I recommend it.

How to you connect the sub to your existing stereo? Does the amp just come on when the radio is turned on?

The sub can be turned on two ways. A remote turn on lead from the Blue lead on an aftermarket head unit, or there is an option on the RS Series when using the Speaker Level (Hi Level input) if this option is chosen in the initial setup the amp comes on when it senses a signal input. If your head unit has RCA or preamp out connections it will probably have a remote turn on lead. The advantage to the Amplified bass tubes is ease of installation, the RS or ES series simply needs to be connected to the speaker connections and 12 volts. No giant Wire reguired. The custom enclosures with high end seperate amps are the best way to go I agree. But the Bazooka Tubes have really came around especially the new RS Series. The 8" RS fits percecetly under the rear seat (60 side of the 60/40) and is held down by the brace under the cushion. It also can be removed in about a minute if I have to fold down the rear seat. More Info, www.sasbazooka.com I hope this was helpful.

Question

I never thought a tube would fit under the rear passenger seat in an e/c! Does it slide under from the front or did you have to lift up the seat and reinstall?

I wouldn't waste the money. I heard they sucked and that they don't put out very much power. Unless of course you hooked it up to a stronger amp, but I'd just buy a custom box and some 10's. But that's just my opinion. Thomas

Check my signature I have a SuperCrew. You could maybe get by with the 6" tube. I do not know how much room is available under the seat of a SC. If you dont want to lose much space and do alot of mod's the amplified tube is a good way to go. If you want a whole lot of kicking Bass, the kind that breaks spot welds then you need some boxes and some serious power! My setup does me pretty good job of shaking my mirrors. Right now the tube is not turned up to high I am waiting for phase three of system mod's (4 channel amp and possibly replacing the two front Boston 57's with rally 6 1/2" componets My system Ain't bad for a 48 year PAW PAW who likes, Zeppelin, Rush, SRV, ZZ-Top, Sammy Hager, etc. etc.

I have an 8" EL8A same size as the RS under the driver side rear seat (2001 Supercrew) and the fit is perfect. The brace under the seat holds it in place.

Tilt the seat up, slide the sub under, latch the seat, done (if you're wired up that is).

Agreed it's doesn't sound as good as a boxed 10" with an amp, but mine sounds pretty good, not over-powering by any means, but adds just the right amount of bass for me, not to mention only paid $50 for the sub and wiring.
