I am having a little problem with the Bass in my truck. I have 1 ten ich MTX8000 sub sitting in the back seat of my truck.. I took out the little section of the bench. First off the bass sounds pretty good, atleast I thought, then I happened to lean forward reaching for something on the ground. When I leaned forward the bass around my feet was 100 times better. Why is that, and how to I make the bass that way in all areas. I tried facing the sub up and also forward to try to make it different but out it sounds better facing forward.

If the sub was firing into the ground, then it was the low frequencies bouncing of the floor. It's like in cars, if you position the woofer to fire in a certain direction then it will 'bounce' of and be louder and more plentifull.

 

the reason is that it's out of phase with the other speakers. That means it's not working well with them. Try swapping the terminals from pos to neg and see how it sounds.
