Unhappy 10" sub

Hello everyone, Saturday I stopped at a local custom audio shop in Austin and asked them about a 8"sub install under the seat well the installer there suggested installing a 10" sub in the l/rear side panel which would be the 4th door on newer a truck but mine is a 97 3 door he said he has made a box out of fiberglass and installed a 10" sub inside the panel only losing the storage pocket there I do not remember the name but he mentioned a sub that requires little air space he said the box and sub would be $350. Has any one heard of this ?? He said he has done Ford SC'S like this as well as SUV's. Never heard of this so just wondering if anyone has seen this. Thanks for your help.Snoman

I've never heard of that type of box you're describing. But for an extra $40 bucks you can get the MTX Thunderforms box that mounts under the rear seats. It holds two 8's; there's a couple off owners who love them. I was gonna get the blue one, but it was on backorder with no ETA. So I got the RS10A Bazooka tube. Now I'm sending it back to Crutchfield and ordered a gray MTX box. So I figure I just cover it with blue carpet material. Try Crutchfield because they have the 30 day return policy.
