Anybody know what kind of factory speakers are used? I've got a 2004 FX4 with 6-cd changer and audiophile system. Wondering if speakers are cheap paper cone type or if I could get significant gains by replacing with aftermarkets. They don't sound too bad but if I can do better I might. Thanks for any input.

 

Funny. I just took my speakers out yesterday and tore them apart to look. Cheap paper cones with a 'whizzer' cone.

 

Do you have the audiophile system in your truck also? Someone was telling me they upgraded the speakers in the audiophile to some type of component speakers...thanks!
