After upgrading the head unit, speakers, I'm still not satisfied with the sound and am ready to install a subwoofer (nothing else beats the audio sound enhancement of a subwoofer). I suppose I could start over and install component spkrs, amp, xover but I like the stock look and want the parking lot windowshoppers to think it is stock.

I am looking at the RS6A (6") or RS8A (8") Bazooka tube. I like the idea that it is an integrated Xover/Amp/SW in one unit - cuts down on the spaghetti for wiring.

I'm also looking at the MTX Stealthbox that fits under the passenger rear seat (8" or 10"?).

Anybody got experience with these installs? Will the 6" Bazooka tube fit under the rear seat? Just looking for some input before I place an order.

Go steathbox MUCH better quality.
I had some Bazookas they were OK but not like real subs.
Very loud boomy bass, but not very deep.

 

If you go single 10" Sub... Go with Polk Audios db series or their new "Momo" line. Polk Audio Subs are awesome !

Spyder - My mistake - 8". I haven't found any 10" that will fit under the rear seat. After a ton of looking, I'm closing in on the Q-Logic Stealthbox with two 8" Subs - don't know which spkr yet. I found the box for $240 from Audio-N-More.com = lowest price I've found. Am also zeroing in on a Sony EQX 40WX4 CH + 100 w sub with built-in 5-band equalizer and Xovers. Will probably try to mount it in the center console (I have capt chairs) or under the passenger's front seat (passenger gets the hot seat when amp is cooking).

I havn't gotten the money yet to do this but I have found a stereo shop here in my hometown in Plainview, Texas that has built a rear passenger seat box that will hold a 10" sub. It won't hold the deeper subs but an infinity 10" will fit and that's what I'm planning on installing anyway.

I installed a 6" RS Bazooka in my reg cab and love it. Would of liked to get the 8" but it wouldnt fit behind the console. Steve
