Supercrew sound sub VS JL Stealth box

Hello Everyone,
Not sure if you are aware but JL came out with a stealth box for the 04/05 f150 on Monday! They didn't have any pics yet but he told me it was a single 10w3 in a ported box. My question is which do you think is the better buy? The JL Stealth box at $575 or the single 10 from supercrew sound in the sealed box with the MTX 4500 approx $220? Also, on the supercrewsound web site they say the box can hold a MTX 8000 but the MTX web site says the mounting depth of that speaker is over 7 inches? Has anyone fit a speaker bigger than a 4500 in that box?

Thanks!

I've already owned one Stealthbox, and am conviced they are superior to any other small hidden enclosure on the market today. They are very well engineered, well constructed and provide rich, deep sound. I still don't know how they manage to do it! Worth every penny, IMHO.

Oh yeah, I plan on getting the box for the '04 as well, trying to find a deal and maybe even a group buy...

Hey DZ,
You can count me in on that order. I am in the same boat as you. I am a DIE HARD JL Auidio fan, and would not have anything else in my truck in the way of a sub. I would love to have a set of their ZR series components, but I am not going to pay that much money for them. Keep us up to speed on what you find out brother!

I have a SC sound dual 10 box in my 99 EC two HX2 with a 1001bd amp. I can tell you the box these guys make are very good. I plan on buying one for my 05 once the weather gets better so i can work on the thing. I am sure the JL box is of good quality but is it worth twice the price?

Definetly go with the JL's. I have a custom box with 2 8w3's and they sound awesome. I also have XR components up front and coax's in back. IMHO you can't go wrong with the JL's.

How would you compare the JL Stealth box to 3 sealed 8W3's firing up?
