04 reg cab rear doors

I was wondering if anybody here has experience with installing 8" subs in fiberglass enclosures in the rear doors on an 04 reg cab. Assuming I can get an enclosure in place without having to cut major amounts of steel it seems like a plausible idea. Other things that concern me are potential structural barriers and if there is enough space available to get the right sealed volume. I am looking towards JL 8W0-4's so I need to get .375 cu ft. With just a cursory look from the outside it seems as if there is plenty of space but factoring in extra bracing and resonance dampening that will be needed, all of a sudden it doesn't look all that big anymore. I welcome your advice and comments.

Thta depends on where you were thinking of putting them. You could use part of the lower pockets as a starting point and not have to worry about cutting into any metal at all. If you were thinking of putting them in the stock speaker locations, that might be a different story. I would try usig the pockets and just fiberglass in/around that.
