Minimum space for subs in box?

Big question-(if you look in the "12" solos in 2004 Screw, you can see it 2)
I have two solobaric L7's (12"). I found a box that SAYS it will fit under the seat and hold 2 12" subs. However, the volume for each side of the box is 1.21 cubic feet. Each sub, on the other hand, sets a minimum volume at 1.75 cubic feet. What would happen if I still put these subs in the box (assuming the box fits under the seat)?

correction...but still another question

I must correct myself on this one. The specs at Kicker.com said that the minimum volume for a sealed box ids .88 (max at 2.0). The vented was 1.75. However, still another question. Does anybody have this box? http://www.topedgeonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=7359
Either way, can anyone tell me if this will fit under the back seat of an 04 Screw without having to lift the seat? Thanks a mil. Later out.

Make sure that sub will fit in the box first. Even if that box fits, it will require a shollow sub.

Good point, Dupuis. The specs I found say the mounting depth of that sub is almost 7". I doubt that it would fit without a seat lift.

4 and 11/16" each. The min/max vol. is only .33/.75 each. I think I can pull it off without having to lift the seat...what do yall think?

That's going to be tight. My RE8s are 4'' deep and I have about 1/4'' space under them to breath in the box. I have about 3/4'' under the box so they can move. I used 5/8'' MDF. I have my subs mounted all the way towards the front of my box where it's the thickest. My box it as tight as one can fit under that seat so not sure if that sub will make it. I would do a simple test run with cardboard first to make sure it fits. Good luck.
Thoses vol. are for sealed right?
