where to get back straps

where to get back straps

i need some back straps (the bracket used to mount the rear of a head unit) to make my kick panel enclosures. anybody have any idea where to pick some up locally?

i used some to mount my headrest monitors and i got them from the local audio dealer. they actually hooked me up for free. they gave me three.

Lowe's and Home Depot carry it. They usually refer to back strapping as perforated metal. It can be found mixed into the metal rack at Lowe's...not sure where at HD. Lowe's has a couple gauges.

I've also heard this called "plumber's tape". I think that's what you're talking about. So if they don't know what back-strap or perforated metal is, try plumber's tape .

But yes, Lowe's and HD should have it.

found some. they called it strapping, it was in the plumbing aisle.

Actually it is refferred to as plumber's strap and yes you will find it in the plumbing section.
