Box placement
Box placement
I was wondering if you have a bed cover on your truck is it at all possible to put your sub box in the bed of truck?
If it is (I don't see why it would not be) are there certain problems that may occur?

nah... only wimps have a cover to protect there stuff I am just gonna leave box open and free...... yeah I figured I would be getting a locking hard cover I don't trust to many people and for good reason.
One of my friends just installed 2 - 12" Rockford Fosgates in the box of his truck. We drilled 2 - 3" holes through the box and cab and inserted a treaded PVC pipe (use alot of silicone!) into the holes so you could see the center of the magnet on the back of the subs. This setup produced the deepest tone of bass I have heard outside of professional dB Drags.
Oh ya, The deep tone came from installing a hard locking tonneau cover. Without the cover alot of harmonic losses occur from not having enough sub back pressure which in turn allows the subs to be overpowered and destorted.
Good Luck and pound the hell out of the subs!!!
