JL 12W3v2

Well I was at the place I got my sub and was lookin at a Eclipse brochure and noticed that my sub can only handle 250 watts. When I bought it the OWNER or the shop told me it can handle 325 watts rms. Not knowing all the specs on Eclipse subs I took it beliving it was 325RMS. So since I found that out, Im pretty
p!$$ed. So I figure I might as well look for a new sub, becuase I THINK it might be blown. I ask the guy what hes got for JL that can take around 300 RMS. He tells me that I need a W0. Well i knew that in a 12 that sub can only take 125, so i walked out.
Since they carry JL, and they screwed me, I might go try to trade for a 12w3v2 since I KNOW that it can handle 300 and there is know way they can screw me like they did last time.

So what does everyone think of these subs? Do you think it will hit alot harder than my Eclipse(SW6123.4)?

I picked up a W0 when I was there and it felt pretty flimsy and definatley light weight. The cone feels particularly flimsy and cheep. Is the 12W3v2 the same way, or is it beefier?
How is it in quality to my current sub and will it sound better and hit harder.

Next time I go to that town Im takin my sub and going to nicely explain what happened and that I would like to trade, then when I get that done, or if they give me some kind of discount(which I WILL make them do) Ill let the ****'s have it

Have a good day, and thanks if you are one of the few who will probably reply

Yes it will sound better than your Eclipse sub. It's not going to hit the hardest, but it will sound good doing it. Good match for your amp.

Do you think it will hit much harder than my Eclipse, or about the same?

I had the memphis power reference that held 250 watts rms. Hooked to 300 watt amp. It hit pretty good. Then I got the JL W3 v2 d2 10 and it is louder. It smells kinda like plastic for a few weeks. I guess because the new has to wear off, but I have no complaints. Anybody who says a W0 will hold 300 watts rms needs there head examined. You were smart to walk on that one. Good luck with your decision. I kinda wanna get another W3 pretty soon. Just hard to build another box with it so hot.
