Talking help a me out!

Ok, I need some help, I'm finally in the position where I can buy some subs for my truck and all that good stuff. I'm looking at three diffrent ones, and I need to know what will be the best bang for my buck.

Yeah I know, nothing special, just enough to make me happy. I'm leaning towards the Alpine, but I'm a n00b, so yes I need a little help deciding which is best.

I like the Alpine as well, But they are deep subs. Be sure you have enough room to mount them.

No particular reason for those brands, just the first three I though looked good(quality wise). I was thinking of the Alpines as well, and might end up getting them. Of course actually getting to use them is another story (getting an amp, building the box, wiring everything up)

I would look into some of the lower end models made by RE, Adire, elemental designs, etc. For instance, you could slide into a set of RE RE10's for around the same price yet you will have some very loud, accurate bass. They take no more power than what your looking at, in fact would do better with less power if that's all you got than the others your looking at. Not to mention the materials, motors used will far exceed and outlast any of the main line brands.

From the post.....

*Note: I dont hate ED, they build some good stuff for a good price, and Jeremy is as cool as a fan, but the business ethics the company is based on have steered more than a few people I know clear of doing any business with them.

Honestly I really don't think it is bad ethics as much as he got in over his head. A demand for ED products was created that exceded his ability to supply it. Their quality is good and they try to keep up with the demand but with as few people as they have working for them and as big as the ED boner was it probably made things very difficult.

Nah, it was bad ethics

This has much more to do with behind the scene events that have unfolded over the past few years than product shortages or even the ever-changing designs (although neither is good for business). Information you're average customer isn't privy too, and it should stay that way I suppose. On more than a few accounts I've heard people say they've steered clear of some companies more than others due to bad business ethics. Some people know how to run a successful company and some people know how to run a successful and honest company. You can make money either way, but at the end of the day you have to choose which is more important, making money or being honest. I've been fairly close with two companies in this thread at one point or another (ED and Adire) and both of them represent one of those ways of running a business. Should be pretty clear which is which in my opinion. Again though, the average customer doesn't know and couldn't care less, and it's probably better that way, so I'll leave it alone.

I'm not saying ED isnt a goo product, but they HAVE changed there product line ALOT. And I do know of a few people who havent had the best experiences with them. It happens, no matter the company. But for *me* I like to know the company I'm supporting has 100% standup business ethics and backs their customers 100%

You can get them Here or Here

Both have to be called or e-mailed. They e-mail back pretty quick. Look into the RE line in 8, 10 & 12" You can see them at the first site linked
