I need some help plz

Anyone have any good ideas for one 10 or 12 incher? If so, what would i need to power it and what would be the best place to put it? I have a 98 4x4 ext cab and am in need of some much better sound. I replaced the deck and put a pioneer deh7500 but i dont think im getting the best performance because its just running stock speakers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

first u'll want to put the sub under the back seat. next u'll prolly want to get one 10 inch sub because of the mounting depth that u have available. after saying that check out these three sites for an enclosure. the sites will tell u how much mounting depth u have available and how much airspace. once u know those two things go to crutchfield.com and put in what kind of vehicle u have and they wll bring up a bunch of subs. from there check the specs and find a sub that meets the requirements that u have found. post again once u have identified a sub u like and people will give u input.

here are the sites for enclosures

subbox.net
supercrewsound.com

good luck

The first thing I would do would be to get new speakers.

Like Player said, you have to watch the mounting depth. When you mount a sub under the seat there isnt a lot of room(it almost always involves putting a seat lift on your back seat for more space).

First, how much money do you want to spend on a sub, and how many watts do you want it to be able to take? If you want a good sub and amp with soem decent power (300 or so RMS watts) , then a sub would cost around 200 and a good amp for 2-300 bucks. Give or take some, there are alot of places where you can get cheap stuff.

mtx 9500 series. its already set. im gonna install a 12 incher or a 10in mtx after i get my components. im also getting a new set of 5x7 coaxials (brand pending). i found a great place to buy my equipment, yet to find a place to install properly.

i have a 97 supercab (ext cab) truck w/ 60/40. after thinking i have to settle for JL, i find a little slice of heaven on hawaii. take out your 40 bench and put the sub in its place.

some say power with a JBL amp, since they have like .01% failure rate (or so says the dealer). personally, i'd go with phoenix golds or tantrums..even a JL slash series mite be good. for a mtx 10in, you need average 600-700 watts, and 12, u need about 1000-1200. great SPL sub, MUST PORT or sounds off.

Digital Designs are nice too, but due to the small space size, you'll either sacrifice SPL or space, whichever u want...if u want your subs to pound you off of your seat, remove a seat and replace with sub..if u want nice vibrating deep bass, buy a truck box, and tuck under the seat.

nice coaxials to begin with IMO is JL TR series.. 100 bucks, and its worth it.

now if i only knew about my damn alternator..
