system

I'll be getting an L here in the next few weeks and was wondering what you guys think of this system i'm trying to create for her.

putting my 6x9 infinitis out of my ranger into the backs (no amp to them)
Focal 180W components in the front (not sure of the tweeter placement...the RMS on those is 140 i believe but i'm wanting to put a 500/2 to them, from what I hear, I shouldn't have a problem with that.
JL Audio 10" sub of some form...working on finding someone to build a box
500/1 to power the sub..

Deck is going to be some dvd/mp3/cd ...was wondering if anyone has any opinions on this, about the amp power (300/2 or 500/2) to the door speakers(components), and maybe where I could get someone to build a box that holds 1 10" sub for behind the passenger seat without losing an inch of legroom. I'm dreaming of having this installed, just need to nail down the details..I probably won't have this in until the summer, but i'm trying to get the idea and order it..could be done in april sometime.

You will need an amp to those Infinitys if you want to get any usefull sound out of them.

yeah i thought about it but from what i hear if i had the component focals with 250w a piece and a 10, i'm not going to even hear/need the backs....

In that case, leave the stock speakers in and use the Infinitys elsewhere.
I put my Infinitys in before I got my amp in and they sounded worst than the stock speakers. They needed the watts.

I agree, ditch the rear fill or give em some juice. Look into the W6 or W7 if you want to keep up with the focals. Sounds like it would rock!

How much room do you have for the sub?

Not much..lightning's are reg cab f150's inside essentially..I know it can be done, i just have yet to see one that holds 1 10"..i'm sure it's out there i'm just not looking hard enough. The mtx thunderforms hold 2 10" subs, without any loss of leg room, so it shouldn't be hard findin one..I'm tempted to throw in some focals in the back just so i can run some power back there...maybe get a 600/4 and run the 150 to each of the 4, sure it'd be nice to do 250 to each front..I don't know. I'm driving a ranger now and can honestly say if the fronts were that good, with that much power, the backs probably aren't going to matter.
