I need some suggestions

I have installed 2 pairs of Polk DB 570 5x7's in my 04 scab.
Currently I am only use the stock HU. The recommed power range is 6 -60 RMS and the PEak handleing is 180 watts.
I am guessing that I will need an amp to wake these suckers up.
I am also planning on getting a sub installed under the seat. Nothing major just something to add a little kick maybe a Bazooka EL 6 to aviod modding my back seat height. Should I run 1 amp for all 5 or two amps and what are some recomendations as to what size amps?
Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!

For what you are wanting to accomplish you could either go with an amplified Bazooka tube and a 4 channel amp for the door speakers or you could go with a 5 channel amp that will do it all and get a non-amplified Bazooka tube. Either way you go will be just as good as the other.

Im not sure. I was originally planning on the powered bazooka. But since i realized that I would need the amp for the doors It made me think I should go with the non-powered bazooka and use an amp.

Well either way that you go you would be ok. If you got an amplified tube then you would only need a 4 channel amp. If you go non-amplified tube then you would need at least a 5 channel amp 2 ch for front 2 ch for rear 1 ch for sub. Look at Hifonics or Autotek for a reasonable cost amp that will fit the bill. You may want to try a new HU and amplified tube first. The aftermarket HU will provide more power to the speakers and RCA outputs for amps if you want to upgrade after.

For a system like that I would go with a 5 channel. Normally I would say seperate amps, but if you don't need 1000 watts for the sub and 150 watts for each speaker you don't need seperate amps.

Stock Head Unit

What types of outputs does the factory head unit on the 04 come with. I have the single cd/tape system. Also, How difficult is it to remove the unit? And one more thing, How can I find an install shop locally that has done work on the 04? The last thing I want is for some rookie to dismantle my dash and not fit it back together right!

Hey Tex.... Do you have an 04? If so I can help. The is a thread in the 04 section if you search radio removal you can find it. I removed mine to install my XM and it wasd pretty simple. Just poppong off the trim (Being very carefull not to break or crack,it is plastic) surrounding the stereo and the removing the bolts and out it comes. The trim come off by starting at the bottom and moving up. Try this tread.....https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=133164
The process is different without the floor console but the process is similar
