up-down or sideways?
up-down or sideways?
So I'm 100% disappointed with the box I got from Supercrewsound.com
Here is what I have,
12" Rockford DVC 4412 and an 801s bridged mono, 800 watts 4 ohms
I need more airspace, raising the rear seat etc... is out of the question.
I will be cutting my front seat and cut out the area under the arm rest and take that space and fabricate a box to fit the 12" and the space between the seat. This will get me the cu ft airspace I want.
Here is the real dilemma...
I'm thinking I should make this a downfire box, with the sub toward the front of the box. It would be firing to the floor at the same place where your feet would be if you were sitting in the middle of the front seat.
Or
Should I make it a side firing, back toward the rear seat or up shooting toward the bottom side of the arm rest???
I'm looking for more ideas, suggestions etc... on this design...
Tell me what you think...

what is the problem...
Do you think you have not enough airspace for your subs, or do you think that the sound is being muffled?
From my experience with boxes for your truck, you may be happier with high-quality 10" subs. They should perform very well in the airspace you have.
