Actually, I am what is referred to as an old hat guy. I competed on the IASCA circuit 90-93 retired from it but looking to make a come back since they recently changed some rules. I also competed in many local shows several years back (before IASCA dbL and USAC SPL as it is today). Back in the day I had a little Honda Accord hatchback that I routinely popped out 157-158db with. It had 8 RF 12" Punch in a pac-man wall style enclosure using 13.26 cu ft sealed. I always had plans of porting that box but never did get around to it since it was more that loud enough for crushing 90% of the competition at the time.

Man, that's awesome. I have a bed cut in my reg. cab f150 with 3 12's and 1 1000D. I hit a 150.9 (outlaw) on a b&k. so im pretty proud of it, within the next two weeks im getting one (possibly 2) more thousand D's. Michael Jones( holds the current dB drag world record ) is the one who did my stereo. So what are you planning on doing about getting back into it?

I have been contemplating getting back into the SQ arena. Street class IASCA SQ. I don't have alot of time to do an elaborate install any more so I wouldn't be able to hang in the pro category. Not to mention I am pretty much a consumer now since it has been over 5 years since I worked in a shop. My current system isn't an SPL monster by any means. Matter of fact I think I would be doing good if I could pop 120-125. However, my SQ is the best it has ever been and will image as close to perfect as one could expect to achieve in a car. It really depends on if I can find the time to make it to enough shows to make it worthwhile. It is kind of hard to get to shows these days because of work. At least when I worked in a shop they would let me off to go to any show I wanted.
