ED 10" O series VS. Solo-Baric 10"L5

I had a solobaric 10"L5 and it broke, so i have the option of replacing the kicker speaker and thats all, or getting an Elemental Designs 10" O-series and a new box, i will use the same amp regardless, its a profile CA400 and it puts out 300W x 1 @ 4 ohms

i know that the sound quality is better on the ED from what i've read on here, but will it hit as hard or harder then the L5?

Since you are sticking with the same amp, I would recommend going with the K series.

Why the K-series? On the Ed website it says the O-series will do great with 300W.

Do you think the ED will still hit harder then the solo?

My bad...I thought the O's were rated at 450 watts rms (maybe I was thinking about the 12's). As far as the O out-performing the L5, I think the O's are the better sub, they are more efficient and IMO have overall better SQ. I have installed a pair of e10O's and they did sound really good. I have the e12k's, powering them with 625 watts each and it hits plenty hard.
