Question Door Panels on 2003 Screw

Just installed a JVC KD-SX9350 MP3/CD-Receiver with a JVC CH-X1500 12 Disk MP3/CD Changer. Also installed an 8" Kicker Sub powered by a Punch 40.2 AMP. Not happy with the factory speakers so I'm ready to install 4 new Infinity Kappa 572.5CF's in the doors. My problem is in removing the door panels on the 2003 SuperCrew. Everything that I have read refers to a sail panel on the window post that snaps off to uncover a screw. On this model the front door panel is in one piece minus a "sail panel". If anyone can help with this minor problem, it would help save possible damage to a really nice truck.

Mike all the Ford truck door panels come off in close to the same way. Now, I can't remember without seeing but the most important thing to remember here is that on our door panels they usually have only a few screws holding them on 1-4 usually. Once you have the screws (sometimes they are plastic rivots with a little push pin in the center) removed then the door panel lifts upward and off it comes. Really simple process actually. Should only take you about 3-4 minutes per door panel maybe longer since it is your first time. The power window/door lock pad just lifts up from the front, the trim ring around the door release handle pops off.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that everything tells me that there are only 3 or 4 screws. Possibly (1) by the door latch and I have found (2) exposed at the very bottom of the door panel. But I feel that there must be at least one more. But where would it be hiding on this model.

pop off door handle trim & power window switch panel. screws inside them plus screws on trim panel, then just lift door panel up, it will come off easily

Thanks, 03 HDS

It took less than 3 minutes to remove the door panel.
