Speaker Level ouput control??
Speaker Level ouput control??
I have a subwoofer connected via speaker level inputs using my HU's front speaker outs. The level is too high, meaning the sub is hitting to hard at low volume, so hard I can't hear anything but the sub when the volume is lower than halfway.
Is there any device that can control (lower and raise) a speaker level output prior to it going into the amp?
I don't mean an LOC, it must keep the line at "speaker level" since that is the only input on my subwoofer available.
Thanks in advance.

Tried the fader. If I fade mostly to rear (90% to rear), the sub sounds perfect, but I also basically loose my front speakers.
That's why I'd like to be able to "control" it separately from the volume and fade control....

That works too, but again, then I loose the rear speakers. And to make matters worse, I have the MTX sub box under the rear seat and it is run from the rear speakers, so fading the back out kills the rear sub as well.
Maybe I'll just biuld one?? Just need a small box with two speaker wire terminals for inputs, two speaker wire output terminals, with a variable resister on the inside with it's **** sticking out.

The sub/amp doesn't have gain controls on it?
Proabbly need something like this....

Actually that might work for a car audio aplication, but you'd have to hide it.
edit: this is not wuite it, but might give you ideas of what to look for...
