Keep it close to the mid. Usually a-pillar and the dash make them very harsh with the reflection off the windshield. Some good for people first starting out are the Q-forms they are pretty good for what they are...100 bucks on ebay and your good to go and that takes care of your mid and tweeter and you can even put a midbass in the door if you want to go with a 3 way set.

I installed my tweeters at the very top of the front of the plastic door cover (basically opposite the mirror) The tweeters are directional so if you aim them correctly you shouldn't get and reflection. Make sure when you go to do it you lay it out first and see where the general direction they will be pointing is so you can at least start on the right foot. Good luck and happy listening!

Well I guess I should have said it better...With the reflection of the tweeter of the windshield it tends to be harsh which is why I wouldn't mount on the dash. As far as the tweeter in the a-pillar it generally is just too close to the ear and comes off as being harsh...There are some exceptions but usually when the tweeter is mounted up high it will coem off as being harsh.
