Here are two very easy questions.

1) In ur opinion what would be the best sub, amplifier, and speakers on the market.

2) Will putting a sound system in that includes a new head unit, enclosure under the back seat, and new speakers decrease the value of my truck? And what about window tinting will that decrease value also?

Dunno about you, but if I spend a bunch of money upgrading my sound system, Im likely to keep mine for whatever car I get after.

But I would not think either of these things would cause the value to decrease, not if done properly anyway.

 

My personal opinion from what I have heard to date:

Eclipse HU - 8 volt model
10w7
Focal Utopias
Zapco C2k amps 4.0 and 6.0
AudioControl - EQs

These cater to my taste the best. Honestly, if I thought there were something better out there I would run it, but I don't have the money at the time to buy equipment and not like it. So, I stick with what I know I like...But something else I really want to try is Tube Driver Blue amps and maybe, just maybe rainbow speakers (I like the agrressive sound but I hear the rainbow is between Focal and Dynaudio...)

Stuff I havent heard, but would probably use:

Pioneer P9 combo
TDB amps
Rainbow speakers


Cant really think of too much else...

Which pieces of equipment that u listed are the speakers, amplifier, and subs?
Who are those rainbow speakers made by?
What do u mean by it sounds between Focal and Dynaudio?
Lastly how much are we talking about all of this costing?

Rainbow makes Rainbow speakers ( http://www.rainarc.com/speakers.htm )

Focal is an 'aggressive' sound more 'in your face' where as Dynaudio is more 'laid back' and has a 'dead/dull' sound. Rainbow is said to be inbetween the two...

there is on slight issue here. I am on a budet of around 1 grand give or take 200 dollars. So if u could make any recommendations for speakers, subs, HU, and amp that adds up too around that price it would be greatly appreciated.

Two notes i already found an enclosure i like that holds 2 12" subs and speakers are not a necessesity because i already replaced them front ones i was just looking for some upgrade ideas.

Speakers - Focal 165V (Polyglass) (check ebay) (just my personal preference)
HU - Eclipse (www.eclipse-web.com)
Subs - I am no a big ED fan, in fact I was disappoined with their A series subs, but I have only heard them in one install and it could be attributed to that. Also, there is the Brahma, but 2 12s will still run you a lot. Theres the IDMAX too...I say check ebay on those and the w7s and see what price you can get them for.
Amps - Go with Autotek amps, cant beat em especially for the price. I say go with a SX2300 for the subs and the highs. Unless you need more power on the subs
Wire - goto walmart and you cant beat their kits you may need like two of them, but that sould work out fine for you.
