steventimm, I agree with johngs. Although there are places where you can find lower prices than Crutchfield, when you figure in the cost of the freebies you will get from them, and the fact that their customer service is second to none, you can't go wrong. In the end their prices aren't that much different than others. And they ship speakers for about $5.95 in a couple of days.

yep, you can always get some sort of deal from crutchfield for buying an entire system, or 2 pairs of speakers, etc etc.

I would suggest you sign up for their mail-order catalog (its free, on their website).

I have to agree with the others on this one. Crutchfield is well established and highly respected. Not to mention that although you may be able to get the same product elsewhere on the web for less. If you run into problems and have to get waranty work done you will wish you went with Crutchfield or some other authorized dealer. In short, just be sure that whomever you choose to buy from is an authorized dealer of the product they are selling. There are tons of companies out there that buy old stock or refurbished units and sell them as new all the while promising good service and strong manufacturer waranty but in actuality it is a bold faced lie and if you have a problem you will be S.O.L. so just be careful.

Another vote for Crutchfield. I used them for my 01. Just go to their website and plug in your vehicle and see what they have to offer. I got some great speakers, all the connectors required to make them plug and play with no splicing required, detailed instructions FOR AN F150. with photos, and a couple of months later a free one year subscription to Car and Driver. Yup, there's cheaper stores out there, but I think you do get what you pay for.

crutchfield gets good marks. however i just bought 2 sets (4 speakers) of pioneers from etronics and paid exactly HALF of what crutchfield wanted for the SAME EXACT SPEAKER. crutchfield does include plugs that go directly into the factory plug but that wasn't worth $100 to me. I spent $2 on crimp splicers and about 15 minutes longer to install. not knocking your choice of crutchfield but i would say "look at the alternatives" before you buy.
