sub measurements

any one know how big the whole should be in the box for a standard 10" sub????? thanks alot Jim

If you got the paper work with the sub it should say. I usually just draw the circle using the box that it comes in speaker hole. That is the easiest way, but somewhere on the data sheet or owners manual it will say. If you don't have the data sheet what type of sub and brand is it and I will try to help you find it.

They are 10" legacy's......all 10 inch subs should have the same diameter. someone gave them to me cause i have a show coming up and my old subs blew.....made a new custom box but dont know the whole size. thanks jim

I have a memphis audio 10 and the mounting depth on the sheat is 9.125 inches. That should fit nicely.

Usually in the range of 9.5"... you'll probably notice that your subs outside diameter is closer to 10.5".
