Unhappy Jl 15w6

i need some help i was taking the sub out and accidently punched the outer foam ring with a screwdriver is there anyway to repair it? silicone maybe? any help is appreciated

If the hole is in the surround, it will not affect the sound at all. You can fill the hole in with silicon, but it won't change anything.

thanks im just trying to keep the hole from getting bigger. so if i put a dab of silicone you guys think it will keep it from ripping further?

Remove the sub. Put masking tape over the hole on the front side (cone side). Apply black silicone or rubber cement to the back (magnet side) of the hole. Allow to dry.
