what ohm sub do i need

what ohm sub do i need

Ok do i need a 2 ohm +2 ohm dual voice coil wired in series or a 4 ohm sub with this amps sub channel....Thanks

You can get a SVC 4 ohm sub or a DVC 2 ohm sub...both will give the amp a 4 ohm load for the max bridged power.

I thought that was the case just checkin

so a 2 ohm X 2 = 4?

Yes this is the case if you wire the voice coils in series. When wired in series the resistance is additive so you will have 2 + 2 =4. If you wire in parrallel it will actually be less resistance (in this case 1 ohm). Any speaker you buy should have a wiring diagram that shows how to wire the speaker both in series and parallel.
