What do you think of this box?? Need help with subs. Thundeform?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14945
Also, if i get a box and take out my 6cd under the back seat, will it sound wierd since there was a 6cd back there?? I dont know if they do anything different under the carpet or what not. If this isnt a good box, what is a pre fab box that will fit 2 10's or 8's. Also what is a good amp for JUST SUBS? What 10's have shallow mounting depth? And do the thundeforms sound wierd with 2 8's on only 1 side of the truck?? I want to get all the stuff and just have a place install it.

I would strongly suggest looking at these 3 sites before you buy that box. These manufacturers provide deeper mounting depths and good quality boxes. Plus you get some service/warranty if you have a problem with the box. (Supercrewsound and SUBBOX regurlarly visit another F150 website to keep in touch with their customer base)

www.supercrewsound.com
www.subbox.net
www.proboxrocks.com

Supercrewsound offers free color matched carpet.

TRUST ME.. if you can get even 5.75" mounting depth versus the 5.25" of the box you listed.. it will make a HUGE difference in the subs you can use with the box. A lot of subs run about 5.5" depth.

You'll need to get an idea of what subs you want to get THEN look into selecting the amp that will suit the subs you're gonna use.

Just wanted to toss a couple of subs out there for you to consider. My first recmmendation would be an Audiomobile EVO 10".. this is the sub I have and I'm very pleased with it. BUT Audiomobile is no longer in business so that's no good.

Anyway, another sub I would consider for the under the seat application is an Elemental Designs E10K... 5.25" mounting depth (it will not fit in the box you listed from ebay... no room behind sub for vent cooling). This sub has very similar specs to the sub I own so this would be one I'd be interested in personally, that's the reason I am recommending it.

Other subs you might consider that will fit within the 5.75" depth requirement......
Boston Acoustics Pro 10" (4.75" depth I think)
Image Dynamics IDQ 10".. can't seem to find mounting depth but I think it MIGHT be around 5.5"
JL Audio W3v2 is 5.75" depth... could use a spacer but then you might run the risk of having the sub too close to the floor
Kicker CompVR 10" 5.43"
Kicker Solo L5 5.7" depth
Digital Designs 2000 10" 5.25" depth
Adire Audio Shiva 10" 5.125" depth
Rockford Fosgate RFD2110 & RFD2210 5.44" depth

Well there's a decent list of some popular subs... just thought I'd see if that helps ya. I need to save that list.. I'm sure it will come in handy when 100 other people ask about under seat boxes.

I thought the Adire Audio Shiva was a 12" and the only other sizes were the 15" Tempest and 18" Maelstrom (well besides the 10" Brahma)

Really been eyeballin the IDQs... what's the big differences between v2 and v3?

You're right.. Shiva is 12" only. My mistake... though it still has a good shallow mounting depth
