Probox vs. SuperCrewSound vs. SubBox
Probox vs. SuperCrewSound vs. SubBox
I am going to install a single 10" sub under the rear seat of my truck. I am having a difficult time deciding on which box to purchase. I like the fit and finish of the SubBox, but .55 cu ft isn't much airspace. The SupercrewSound box has the airspace that I am looking for, but from the pictures on the website, it looks to me like the carpeting job is questionable. I know very little about the Probox. How much do these things cost? Please help me decide on the best sounding/performing box.
I have a 400 watt, 4 ch amp, I will be bridging the rear channels to power a Kenwood 10" svc sub. (This is a starter system, I got both the amp and sub for cheap on ebay)

I can't speak for the others you have mentioned, But I have a Probox single 10" Down firing box in my screw, and it is a very nice box. It fits like a glove, and was reasonable (120.00)
It is a little small on the airspace, but that was ok with me cause I wanted SQ not SPL, so it worked for me.
Probox does make an upfiring box for my screw, but it is ported, and part of it extends under the small seat also, and that is where I mounted my 5 channel amp.

I ordered the probox from a local supplier and had it specially cut for an 8" sub. I used a comp vr and a kicker kx 150.2 and I think it adds the perfect amount of bass. The box really looks like a quality product.
my brother needs some cash so he is selling me his 600w rockford amp, 12in rockford he2 sub, Ported Probox, and wiring kit. I will take pics of the box this evening so you can see what it looks like. the box came out of a single cab f150 and fit perfectly right behind the seat. the box has just the right amount of airspace for a 12in sub. So I imagine a 10in would do just fine.
