I'm thinking of ways to get a little better base response from the front speakers in my 98 Scab. I've noticed that the rears have a much deeper bass sound. Since they were the same speakers as my fronts were i figured that they must be in some sort of an enclosed box or something. So my idea was first to figure out a way to enclose the fronts and after inspecting the openings i realized there is no room in the panel to enclose with anything rigid. So my next idea is to make a custom insert out of mdf to mount over the original opening with some rubber spacers in between to limit vibration onto the metal door. Then reinstall the speaker onto the mdf with hopefully enough room left for the door panel to fit back on...maybe this would work or not...opinions please.
