Front door speaker mounting depth

Front door speaker mounting depth

I am looking at getting new front door speakers and I was wondering what is the maximum mounting depth I can get. I see some speakers at 3.5 inches and others at 2.5.

Depth is not a problem with the f150. You have 4.5" available and about 5.5" with a spacer.

Supercrews have a different speaker location slightly and you do have to worry about mounting depth. Basically instead of being along side the window track, you are right in front of it.
