Did a little digging, found a few folks who were happy with these, and found a NIB set on ebay for $79, and Best Buy has the harness adapters for $6, so I'll have them Friday... If anyone's interested I'll let you know how they sound...

on a side note, I'm quite dissappointed in Ford's design on the door speaker grills... The things are frickin' huge, and yet the speaker is nearly halfway outside the darn thing...


Oh, well, I still love my truck...

 

Got the set off ebay. Half the price of anywhere else I could find, and they were brand new in the box...

They sound great! I got the adapter harness from Best Buy, and the install was probably the easiest stereo componant install I've ever done. It took maybe 5 minutes per side to pull the door panel swap speakers, and put the door panel back. Now, I just gotta get my RAAMmat back from my buddy, and put some behind, and around the speakers, and I'll be set... One of these days I'll probably pull the carpet, and RAAMmat the floor and back wall, but for now, truck sounds great!!

BTW I take back what I said about the speaker grill openings. They look like they were made for this set of speakers. I'll get some pix posted when I have time...
