Question single voice coil to 4 ohms?

who do i wire a single voice coil rockford fosgate HE to a 2 ohm amp?

i dunno i had ford put it on at the accessories department but it was somtwhere at austin

You cannot change the ohm load on a SVC sub. If the sub has a 4 ohm voice coil then your amp will see a 4 ohm load...there is no way around it.

If your amp is a 2 ohm stable, 2 channel amp, then it can only be used safely with a 4 ohm load in a bridged configuration. Not because the amp "sees" a 2 ohm load like some people think. The ohm rating of the speaker DOES NOT change because the amp is bridged. The voltage is doubled and the current increases, in effect making the amp "work" like into 2 ohms. If your amp is a mono amp only, then it is probably designed for low ohm ratings, and the above won't apply. What amp are you refering to?
