This was a little project i did last weekend, i made some surface mount speaker boxes for 5x7 speakers and mounted them in the rear of my truck.

Im VERY pleased with how everything came out, i went to the container store and got 2 cd holders, its just a box made of strips of wood with an open top, the speaker fit perfectly so i got them for 2.99 each.

then i got two pieces of masonite from an old file cabinet and cut the holes,

then i cut an old pillow up and took the stuffing and filled the box, put the screws in and screwed into the panel, whee
