Infinitys vs JBL vs JL Audio

Guys,

I've narrowed my search for speakers down to the Infinity Kappa's, JBL 8652's or the JL Audio TR570's. Planning on going with a AMP as well to push them, but keeping the stock HU.

Of these three speakers, which one should i go for? I can get the Kappa's for $80/pr, JBL's for $115, and JLaudios for $99.

Any suggestions on which brand and idea on amp?

THanks

I would go with the Kappa 572.5cf, but not from that source. Better frequency response, more power handling, same efficiency, external 18db/oct crossovers, and you can aim the tweeter if you'd like. IMHO, JL equipment while good, is overpriced.

I am looking at getting the JL Audio's, but I am not sure if I am going to be getting an amp or not. I am worried that the factory deck may not be able to power these speakers sufficiently. Does anyone have any experience with these in their trucks, esp. Supercrews.

I think all 3 are supposed to be quality speakers. The main thing is to just listen to all three, and pick the one you like the best, since it will be you that will be listening to them all the time.

Find an audio store that has all three and go with some of your music and listen. That should be the only thing to determine which ones you buy. You can get some great recommendations on here but it boils down to what sounds best to YOU. If ya want another opinion listen to some MB Quarts as well.

They will definitely sound better than the factory speakers. If you want to really crank them up, you will need an amplifier.

In my opinion, the answer to each question is to get what fits all your wants and needs. No one knows how important your audio system is to you, but you. Some people are happy with $50 coaxials and a cheap amp, while others are at the other extreme. Go audition some gear that fits your budget and get what you want, not what someone else does. As you can see, there already are different recommendations. If you are a newbie, that's all the more reason to get out and listen and learn. My only advice otherwise is that if you can afford to, lose the stock HU.

I just ordered 2 pair of Alpine SPS-570A speakers from e-bay. I was able to get 2 pair from ebay for what I would have bought 1 pair of the JL for at the local store. I am sure that they will sound much better than stock. Now I am trying to decide if I want to get an aftermarket deck or if I want to try to hook an amp up to the factory deck. I am thinking that it would just be easier to get the aftermarket deck.

I found the Infinity's APT was talking about

on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14940

So are you guys saying these are plug & play? I am not a audio system wiz. I have a supercrew, so I would imagine I need 4 of them if I want the backseaters to get some good sound as well.
