Speaker install question
A while back I ran across an audio concept that used a "sound bucket" behind each speaker. I can't remember the exact technical term for it. It was supposed to help the sound and I think dampen the vibrations as well. Has anyone used these or know what I am talking about?
Something like this....

a foam speaker baffle?

Wombat,
How's it going? I'm Australian, Wombat"s are one of our
native animals as you probably know, now when we call some
one a wombat it's because they "Eat Roots and Leaves" is this
the reason for your username?

That's funny, Trevor Ford!
No, that's not how I got my nickname but I do eat roots and leaves on my salads. An old friend of mine called my that since he had a hard time saying my last name -Wamsley.
I am familiar with what an Austrailian Wombat is too.

Now I must honestly say that I've never done THAT kind of roots and leaves! The ones I have on my salads are from a "legal" garden.
You're a wild man, Trevor!

Wombat,
I think we could have a language barrier thing going on, "EATS" takes a girl out for dinner, "ROOT'S" one of our slang words for sex, "LEAVE'S" takes of quickly, generaly of to the pub (bar) to tell freinds.
Had a look at your pictures of superduty, nice looking truck.Ford out here started importing them about 2 years ago in a factory right hand drive, apparently from a Ford plant in Brazil,
As far as I know they don't bring in the Lariet, pretty expensive over here, about 55K to probably over 80K for something more upmarket.
There you go, a bit of trivia for you, now don't think for one minute I won't look you up for that Beer when I come back over there.

Now that kind of eats roots and leaves is something I could be accused of. I'm happily married now though so it would just be, well, I'm not at liberty to say...
Thanks for the comments on my old truck. I miss it sometimes but I really love my new F-150 SuperCrew. The F-350 was kind of overkill since I wasn't hauling horses and farm tractors around and I almost never went into an area where I had to use four-wheel drive. Not to mention that the diesel, while I loved it, was more routine maintenance than it should have been (fuel filters and 15 quarts of oil).
Yeah, I'll buy a round or two of cold ones (not for everyone on the board though
)

Thanks for the reply, Deus. I haven't heard of cutting the bottom out of them though. I guess I was under the impression that the sound would be "reflected" towards the cab instead of the door cavity.
