hey guys,
Just installed a 4x110 watt amp with 2 channels bridged to a sub, now I need mid bass and highs. Looking at component sets. I was told that 6.5" would fit in the 6x8 housing with an adapter being made, but no cutting needed? True? Also what do I have for a mounting depth in the front doors (03 ext cab)? does anyone know. Like I said I dont want any cutting so i need to know if 6.5"'s will fit in the 6x8 area with no cutting just modifying a holder? And how much depth is there?

Plenty of depth for 6.5" components. No cutting at all.
