How would this sound??
How would this sound??
Would it be a good setup if i were to run a pair of kicker Resolution RMB6 63/4" Mid-Bass drivers in the rear door panells, and in the front doors put a set of Kicker Resolution RS6C component system which consists of a 61/2" Mid-Range driver and a 1" silkdome tweeter. I will probably put the tweeters on the window collums. I would like to know if this is a quality setup? Also will 2 1" tweeters make up for the absence of 4 stock tweeters??

What's the prices on each of those speakers?
Rear Tweeters are totally unnecessary unless you're driving an Expedition or Supercrew. Even in the Expy or Screw.. its only your preference as to whether you want to supply the rear passengers with tweeters other than the ones up front. The midbass in the rear doors is a good idea.. use the right crossover frequencies and they will fill in very well. Component set up front is always a good idea. My only question is.. have you listened to the Kicker speakers? If so.. what other speakers have you compared them to? If not.. what is it that influenced your decision to go with Kicker components and midbass?
I'm not sure but the 6 3/4" midbass driver MAY require making a slightly larger hole? Perhaps someone who has installed a 6 1/2" in their factory hole can specify for sure or not. Although, using a nice adapter might provide you with ample space for the 6 3/4" driver.

My reason for using kicker is that there one of the few companies that support and have alot to do with my sport, motocross. Im willing to use whatever but there my #1 choice. I have not heard there components or many other components for that matter but just assumed they were good. Have you heard them to know if there any better or worse? If so whats better or what would you suggest?

A greater concern of mine is what the price is of the speakers you listed... I was just gonna take a peek at the prices and see how they compared to other similar speakers/component systems. NO I haven't tested any Kicker speakers.. primarly because Kicker is "What everyone uses". That's not to say they are any better or any worse than some other speaker but I just wanted to be unique in my selection.. that's all.
I understand your Kicker influence via your motocross experiences.. but I would strongly suggest trying to give them and MANY other speakers a listen before you get set on any one brand. For example, a lot of people love their JL Audio component systems and I just didn't like the way they sounded.. sounded dead on the high end and mediocre on the midbass end.. just what my ears percieved. I have Focal 136K components now... while extremely clear and crisp.. the tweeter can really ring your ears sometimes (these I was unable to test prior to purchase but I found such a great price I couldn't pass it up).
Anyway.. head out to the local stereo shops and carry your CD's with ya... give the speakers in your price range a TEST DRIVE and see what your ears tell ya.

Thanks for the info. I read that alot of people on here buy stuff from crutchfeild and sounddomain. Man are they SOOOO over priced. I recomend etronics.com millionbuy.com full-line-audio.com there almost ebay prices on kicker and ma audio stuff any way. I would take a peak you might be suprised. I have one more question the info on the components says the rms setting is 125 watts i beleive. They come in a pair so does that mean 125 watts to the pair or 125 watts to each one.
Ohh and as for the comment about my motocross experiences, its not my experience its my life!!

You also get a warranty with all the stuff you buy from Crutchfield and SoundDomain.. something that you may not recieve from Etronics and other online retailers. There's a reason why they're prices are higher than some other sites.
