Hey 2Trucks1Wife

I've seen you post RAVE reviews about the Elemental Designs subs. I'm just curious to whether you have actually heard them. Primarily the 10" K series.

Since Audiomobile has gone down the drain and appears to be out of business. I've got another Audiomobile owner wanting to replace his EVO 10" subs. He had a problem with one of his subs and is now up for replacing both of them.

Anyway.. I just wanted to see if you had heard them or dealt with them personally.

The new K series seem to be all the rave and have some amazing specs.. ESPECIALLY at the price they are selling them.

I own two e12k's....soon to be powered by the NINE.1

I wouldn't recommend them as much as I do if I didn't own them myself.

The new line of subs should be really impressive, If I didn't just buy the e12k's I would get two O series 12's. You honestly can't beat them for the price. Compare the specs of the ED subs against JL subs....nuff said.

The guy has 425 watts available for each sub. Do you think he would benefit from going with the O series over the K series with that wattage? His box is also a tad over .7 cu. ft.

I'm not sure about his mounting depth but the K series is like 130mm and O series is 135mm.. EVO 10" is 5.0" and 130mm is just a tad under 5 1/8" so I'm sure that will be fine.

I love the look of the flat cone with the NOMEX Fiber material.. unique look. Though I still like the Aluminum cone (in looks and sound) of my EVO.

He would probably be better off with the K series.

I thought i would throw my .02 in here. I bought one of the ED10k subs and their customer service was great, shipping took 5 days which is pretty good because i live in Cali. I have yet to have them installed but plan on having a custom encloser made sometime this summer and getting rid of my sub box from subbox.net I cant wait to hear how it sounds compared to a bottom of the line RF 10" sub

yah i cant wait....the only reason why it isnt in now is because the box from subbox.net wouldnt accomadate(sp?) it. Im gonna have to have something cuatom built under the back seat. I was thinking about having the cone of the sub facing the back seat and the magnet and the box under the seat. We'll see, my bday is in july so i cant wait!

Do you mean your going to have the sub facing up under the seat, like Tek2000 has in his truck?

No, more like laying sideways with the front of the sub flush with the end of the seat. Hopefully laying it sideways nstead up up firing or downfiring will work.
