Question Sub Upgrade in 2000 Navi?

I just bought my 2000 Navi and noticed in the back there was already a sub in the side panel......Is this factory on the 2000's or did the previous owner install it?

I was looking into getting a sub back there...and the guy at the shop said they make one that fits in the "cargo net" area...when I checked it out, I already had a sub there...any ideas?

I believe it is a factory option for the 8" sub. Before recommending a sub, what kind of music do you listen to & what are you expectations from the sub? Also, what is your budget?

I thought so....it looks factory.

I listen to all different kinds of music...basically I want to feel the music, a nice solid punch to the subs, but I don't want to sacrifice any cargo area.

I am thinking about upgrading to a 10" enclosure and sell that 8".....and then upgrade the factory speakers as well, and get an amp for them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help

I think a 10" will give you what you want. You need to find out the air space in the pre-fab enclosure before you pick a sub. After you pick a sub you can choose an amp...

If you haven't already upgraded your HU I highly recommend doing so, especially since you will be adding an amp.

Ok...great

Another question for you:

Can I buy an Alpine HU and have it operate the factory changer?
