Hello everyone. I am getting ready to build a custom box in my 03 L. I would like to see what some of you did so I can get some ideas on the best way to go about it. Please post some pics. I could really use the help! Thanks

 

My system isn't all that fancy (check pics in my gallery), but I pieced it together really cheap and it works well.

The pics I've seen of Bulldog's truck look really sweet. I know I've said it before but I'll say it again. Clonetek's setup looks really clean and I've read the results are just as amazing. Here's a link to his gallery: https://www.f150online.com/galleries...TOKEN=14766603

I plan on re-doing my whole setup here in the next month of so. I just picked up some Focal Utopia 165W's as well as two more Memphis ST104D subs that I need to put in, and I am going to make a new box out of fiberglass when I get my expedition console put in. There are pictures in my signature as well as a link to my gallery in my sig. I got some other things planned, but not sure when the time and/or money will be available. I have added a second amp since those pictures have been taken.

Nice job on the box!!! I want some kind of storage like you have by your amp. I am just waiting for my subs to get here and I will get started. Two 10" Alpine R's comming.

actually, that place that you are refering to as storage is where my second amp now resides. I made the rack with the specific amp in mind, but didn't get the amp for about a year and a half.

You happen to have any need for a Memphis ST3004 amp? 75x4@4ohm, 115x4@2ohm.

With me getting those Focals, my needs have changed slightly. Let me know.

Kimball thanks for the offer but I already have a JBL 1200.1 that works great. Hope my system turns out as good as those two did. I already installed a Pioneer DEH4400 cd player, XM radio,Alpine type R 6x8's throughout, and the 12 disc changer is going in tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas.

 

Finally got around to doing something about the ****ty sound system we have. Got a local car audio shop to build somethin nice for me. Sub is a Diamond Audio 10" (CM3 10D4) and the amps are a Memphis 16-ST500D and a 16-ST2004.

When I get all my stuff in and finished I will be running:

4 Memphis ST104D subs
Memphis ST3004 (ST200 if I can find a way to get out of the 3004)
Memphis ST1000D run at 1ohm for 1100W
Focal Utopia 165Ws in the front
Alpine CDA-7998

I can't wait to get it finished. Its been like 2 years in the making.
I'll post pics whenever I finally get it done.
