Off Road meet in NC

Anybody in NC or surrounding areas up for meeting up and offroading? Looking at going someplace where its legal to do so, and where our trucks can go w/o getting beat up - which excludes at least some of the trails at Uwharie... I've never been there, but if anyone has some ideas... LETS HEAR EM!

Thats what they make tow straps for.

Yes, I'm in Gastonia and I don't know if the trails at Uwharrie would be too rough on our trucks or not.

I've only got a little lift and some 33s no winch or anything
Compare that to the jeeps I see out there and I am WAY under prepared.

Mine is just leveled on 295's. I'd love to hit some real mud sometime though, there isn't much in the way of "minor" offroading around here, most guys are hitting holes with atleast 35's and tons of lift.

Oh I'm up for something. I'm just beside Raleigh in Durham. No where legal to go around here that I know of, Uwharrie might be a little cramped for a fullsize unless you don't care about body damage.

I get my license in a week and I might would like to come join if it was close. I live in Oxford which is bout 45-50 min north of Raleigh. Also Uwharrie wouldnt be the best choice(I have ridden atvs up there and seen many jeeps and trucks up there barley fitting through most trails)

Yeah I have a strap and receiver hitches front and rear so recovery shouldn't be a problem. I need to get a winch just haven't dropped the cash yet

There's always Carova Beach in the outer banks, but that's pretty far.

Lets get out of Deer Season

Then look in Hyde County for for a farmer with a sence of humor.

Hyde County has a population of 5,000 and no stop lights

Ya, that sounds good... I still think Wilmington would be really good. They have the green swamp, which nobody really minds people driving through... and there's powerline trails all over the place. I mean I been through water over my running boards in there before, but there are other ways to get to places if you're not lifted, I mean, for all intensive purposes, Ive got a body lift on a level kit and 35s... so my engine is at the same height as a leveled 4wd 150 w/ 35s, so you guys would be fine through all that too if you want to go through it. I'll try and post a video up on youtube and link it here to show you some of the stuff im talking about. If we wait until 2010, I couldnt do it till spring break probly :/ oh well. It won't be all that long
