DONT GO TO ROLLING HILLS FORD!!
I have had my truck in there in the past with bad luck. The work seems to be alright (so far) but the headache isnt worth it. In the past it took 2 weeks to do 1 wheel bearing (I have an extended warranty and the bearing was included so thats why I had them do it). A starter takes 2.5 weeks through rolling hills. Now here is the big one that just got me.
My transmission went out so I was going to have them do it. It took 3 weeks for them to decided that it wasnt covered because the cap on the bottom of the bell housing was missing (the little rubber boot). They said that I abused it by not having that on there and it wasnt a part failing it was operator error. They then wanted $4100 to do a rebuild (other companies quoted me $1700-$2100 for the same thing). So I took it to Remanufactured Transmissions to have them rebuild it. Well in order for Rolling Hills to decide they werent going to cover it, they had to tear my entire transmission apart. So when I told them someone else was going to rebuild it, they threw all the parts in the bed and had me pick it up. Well when I got there, I could tell there were some parts missing like the Transfer case. They told me it was still under the truck....but the crossmember, transmission, starter, exhaust, both axles, and some other random stuff were in the bed, so the transfer case was a free floating object up there? I went back into the bay where my truck was and found the transfer case and they appologized. I then took it to Ramanufactured.
To bad the story doesnt end here. 2 days later, Reman Trans. called me and told me they only had half the bolts and the extension for the tranny was missing. Great. Go back to Rolling Hills and they dont have it (they dont look through the garage, they just remember...just like the transfer case). They said they left it attached. Well My dad called because I had enough. 30 min later I get a call saying they found the part and the missing bolts and that I could come pick them up.
My truck is now home and running great. Sorry for the long rant, this just frustrates me alot.
Cliff notes: Dont ever go to Rolling Hills Ford on Hwy 50 in Clermont. Worst service guys and dealer around. Rosario the owner is a crook (know that from personal dealings).
