Hey jdogg, where you at in raleigh? I am up near wakeforest by the WRAL soccer complex.

Nice List. Looks like you have some great xmas ideas. Check out my gallery. I made some similar mods.

I would do a search on the 04-05 forum to see if you can put those 325's on with just a leveling kit. You might need a lift. Not sure.

Welcome to the board. Make sure to get a gallery up.

Cool

Hi all you 150 owners from Carolina. I am from Roanoke Rapids. I guess I saw one to many commercials of ol Tom Smith slashing prices to the bone. I got my Lariat 4x4 scab at Crossroads on 11/5/04. I sold a GMC duramax 4x4 to get it and so far am having a great time with it. Right now I am drooling to put fat tires on it but I need to save some cash first.

Jim

Welcome, Jim. Glad to see another NC owner on here. Tom Smith had some damn nice deals going on. I was kicking myself when I heard $10K off FX'4 and Lariat's and that was a month ago. I'm sure you got a good deal. Get your gallery up asap.

Zoltan,
My trucks MSRP was $37,125. I ended up with $28k after the rebates and my Georgia-Pacific X plan discount. The X plan drops the doc fees so that can save on those last minute price addons that runs your totals back up. Crossroads Ford had a good sales crew. My wife was'nt so much concerned over the truck as she was about eating at Carrabas Italian grill across from Capital ford. That is one good plus about shopping in Raleigh instead of Roanoke Rapids. Do you guys have any offroad shops in your area that sell tires, lifts, steps, etc?

I got my daystar installed at RPM (Ryan's Performance Motors) on Capital Blvd. probably halfway between Capital Ford and the beltline going southbound. I also know people who have gone to We Do Trucks. Actually, Ryan from RPM used to work for WDT from what I here. Both places are supposed to be good. WDT has a website.

I would not reccomed We Do Trucks. They are very over priced!

RPM is a good place to take it or just do it yourself.
Zoltan is right the owner of RPM used to work for WTD. He is a good person to do business with.

Hey Bird, one word....Borla!

I got mine off ebay from socalmotorsports. I'm sure Borla makes one for the 2001 4.6L.

Did you put yours on yourself, if not, where did you get it installed?

I put it on myself. It wasn't too hard. Hardest part was getting the old one off. The rubber grommet hangers would not let go. I lubed them up real good too. Other people on here had no problems. Oh, btw the original exhaust on the 04 is HUGE.

To buy local? Try RPM or We Do Trucks. They do installs also.
Or I can help you for a six-pack.

I think we might be able to work something out! May be a case will be in order!
