My girlfriend and I are planning a mini vacation to Texas in the middle of May. We will be flying into SAT and heading down to Corpus Cristi, maybe up to Houston over to Austin and back to San Antionio. Anyone have any good suggestions of good entertainment in those areas please let me know we are both excited to see Texas as neither of us have ever been there.

San Marcos has glass bottom boat tours that are kinda neat...I just prefer to take my kayak on the other parts of the river.

Wing'n it vacations are always fun.

The Lexington is cool. I'd visit the Texas Aquarium while you are there. It should be across the bay from the Lexington. While in Houston you should also see the Texas Natural History Museum. That is my favorite thing in Houston and it is air conditioned.

Houston is known for its museums, if it's a cool day check out the battleship and san jacinto monument...both are pretty cheap to do.

This is a link to one of my pictures, the battleship Texas. This is Texas costal water. In Corpus the sand is kinda white but the water is usually brown when you get down to it.

Definitely go to the riverwalk in San Antonio. They also have Six Flags and Sea World in San Antonio along with a few other attractions. Houston as mentioned has alot of museums. There is always Galveston or Lake Conroe if you want to see water in/around Houston. Austin has alot of things to do also. If you like drinking go to 6th street lol. Just all depends on what you enjoy doing but there are plenty things to keep you occupied thats for sure. Hope you both enjoy your visit to Texas!
